12 June 2000 - Monday

Antica has been standing in a marina near Manhattan for the past few days. In between numerous visits on board the crew is preparing the yacht for the transatlantic voyage. In those days another Polish yacht, Pogoria, is visiting New York so there are never-ending mutual visits going on aboard.

During this stay the captain became a sea godfather of Rafal Biernacki's son (Rafal took part in Antica's cruise from Peru to Panama). The baptising took place on board Antica last Saturday and from then on the boy's name has been Robert Segars Biernacki.

The captain is planning to go to sea next Monday, which is June, 19th and on Friday, before the start, a big meeting in the editorial office of a local magazine is going to take place.
